first Spin public BSD release Version 6.4.5

Alcatel-Lucent Technologies, the company that inherited Bell Laboratories from AT&T, where the original Spin software was developed between roughly 1980 and 1989, agreed on December 30, 2015 to transfer the Copyright to the software to me.

This has allowed me to make the Spin source code available as open source without the non-standard Lucent license agreement that earlier made it difficult to make Spin available as a standard package on Linux platforms (e.g. Ubuntu).

Spin Version 6.4.5 and subsequent versions are available under the standard BSD 3-Clause license, ( see https://opensource.org/licenses/BSD-3-Clause ).
