Hi,
Just a minor clarification. How do you compute the number of states that can be handled by SPIN if i have 1.99GB of memory and a state vector of 1 byte?
Thanks in advance.

There is some more overhead for storing a state, other than the state vector itself.
Minimally there's a pointer, maybe some additional data too.
So I would guess in the order of say between 100 and 500 million states, but far more if you use bit state hashing.
