The Spin Workshop Series

The proceedings of the last Spin Workshop, held August 22-24 in San Francisco, California, are now online. You can find the links to all workshop proceedings, from 1995-2005, at the bottom of the Spin homepage.

The next workshop, SPIN2006, will be held in Vienna, Austria, co-located with ETAPS 2006. It will take place March 30-April 1, 2006, and will be chaired by Antti Valmari.
Note that the deadline for submissions for the workshop is in 3 months: December 2, 2005.

jSpin Version 2.2.1:

The latest version of jSpin, an alternative to Xspin written in Java by Moti Ben-Ari (moti.ben-ari [atsign] weizmann.ac.il) is on the distribution website:

The most recent version includes "spintodot", an experimental filter to generate a diagram of the global state space in dot format, extracted from the output of a run of the model checker.

All the Spin online manual pages have been brought up to date with the extended and corrected versions that appeared in the new Spin book.

Also take a look at the page Specifying Invariance Properties, which is a trial page modeled after Theo Ruys's Spin recipes. Send mail if there are topics that you'ld like to see discussed in similar tutorial style webpages about recommended ways to solve common Spin modeling problems.
